Gooding Gazteak

Founded in 2024 under the Gooding Basque Association, Gooding Gazteak is a vibrant children’s Basque dancing group made up of enthusiastic young performers ages 4 to 13. Representing families from across Idaho’s Magic Valley and surrounding areas, the group is dedicated to preserving and sharing the traditional dances, music, and spirit of Basque culture.

Led by passionate dance directors Marie Luper and Miren Arana, Gooding Gazteak provides a joyful and educational space for youth to connect with their heritage through movement, rhythm, and community. The group is honored to be accompanied at times by talented musicians Leire and Ziortza Altube.

Whether performing at local festivals, Basque gatherings, or community events, Gooding Gazteak continues to grow as a proud symbol of tradition, youth, and cultural pride.
